Protecting garment sector workers in response to COVID-19 pandemic in Lao People's Democratic Republic

The COVID-19 crisis has had a devastating socio-economic impact on Lao People's Democratic Republic’s garment supply chain. The project “Protecting garment sector workers: occupational safety and health and income support in response to the COVID-19 pandemic”, has provided urgently needed safety equipment. The Items were distributed through the Lao Social Security Organization. The funding was provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), with technical support from the International Labour Organization (ILO).
