For trade unions to navigate change and position themselves strategically for the future, they have to embrace the challenges and opportunities driven by technological advancement and digitalisation. Issue to be considered include workers’ rights over access to their data, the sustainability of algorithms in the platform economy, and how to effectively represent and serve workers in the digital era so that their voice is heard, and decent work is achieved.
