Responsible business conduct in Myanmar agriculture sector
It is estimated that about 2.6 billion people around the world rely on agriculture for their livelihoods. The share of the agriculture sector to global labour has steadily declined largely as a consequence of the advancement of agricultural technologies and the growth of other sectors. The percentage share of agriculture to global employment decreased from 43.70% in 1991 to 26.76% in 2019.
