Project consultations on implementation modalities with national stakeholders
The objective of the inception meetings were to consult national stakeholders on implementation modalities and potential partnerships. Meetings with Vanuatu, Palau and Tonga stakeholders were held virtually while the Fiji meeting was held face-to-face.
Country level project inception meetings were held from December 2020 to January 2021.
The objective of the inception meetings were to consult national stakeholders on implementation modalities and potential partnerships. Meetings with Vanuatu, Palau and Tonga stakeholders were held virtually while the Fiji meeting was held face-to-face.
The project was welcomed by national stakeholders, particularly in support of critical sectors that were hit hard by COVID-19. With ILO led Rapid Assessments in COVID-19 Fiji, Vanuatu and Tonga, results showed devastating impacts to business, employment and livelihoods.
The general agreements with national stakeholders were:
1. Work with existing partnerships and programs to reach out to the most impacted in the creative industries and agriculture sector.
2. Tailor interventions that specifically address the issues of the specific sector in the specific countries.
