Innovation:

Client training using adapted ILO training materials such as Improve Your Business (IYB) and Work Improvement in Neighbourhood Development (WIND), combined with child labour sensitization sessions.

Results:

Incidence of child labour decreased by 26% for girl children (the incidence for boy children is not significant – a decrease of 2.7%)

Awareness on child labour:
  • Weak evidence that training increased the perceived age at which children should start full-time work
  • Weak evidence that awareness about the importance of secondary improved
