The direct and indirect costs of poor working conditions, occupational accidents and diseases, for the society, enterprises and the individual, are enormous. It is always better and less expensive to prevent that to pay the cost of compensation, accidents and emergencies. Safety is good business. This view is supported at the highest levels in Russia.
