On arrival at Geneva International Airport, attendees can obtain a free public transport ticket from a distribution machine in the baggage pick-up hall. This ticket is valid for the Geneva Public Transport (TPG) system for a period of 80 minutes. Passengers will be asked to present their airline boarding passes with their free ticket, if checked.
Attendees staying at hotels in Geneva can benefit from a free Geneva transport card. The personal, non-transferable card is issued on registration at the hotel, and entitles its holder to the use of the entire TPG network without restriction (bus, tram and shuttle boat). It is valid for the duration of the stay in Geneva, including the day of departure.
For attendees not staying at hotels in Geneva, bus cards may be purchased from the newsagents at the ILO, and from newsagents and TPG kiosks in Geneva.
The No. 28 bus runs from Geneva Airport (Cointrin) to the ILO. The ride takes about 15 minutes and buses leave roughly every 20 minutes. Take the bus marked Jardin Botanique, and alight at the BIT stop.
From Geneva city centre: The F and 8 buses link Geneva train station, Cornavin, directly to the ILO (BIT stop).
