ILO Conventions nos. 155 and 187 explained

The Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No. 155) and the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187) have been recognized as fundamental Conventions, requiring all ILO members to respect, promote and realize their principles. They are fully complementary and reflect the relevant principles, roles and responsibilities for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
