Practical information for the Committee on the Application of Standards (CAN 2025)
2 June 2025
Requests for the floor
Delegates wishing to take the floor should register on the list of speakers as early as possible and at least 24 hours in advance by sending the form to [email protected].
No delegates will be able to register on the list of speakers for an individual case once the discussion of that case had begun.
Please send your speeches to [email protected].
Sitting plan
Due to the limited capacity of the GB room, the number of seats reserved for Government delegations is limited to one person per Government accredited and registered to the Committee. Room II is available for overflow attendance.
In order to facilitate the smooth running of the Committee's work, the Secretariat will draw up a daily seating plan, which will designate the place reserved for each Government representative. An A + 5 rotation will be used to determine this placing.
The first row of the Room will be reserved for representatives of countries whose cases will be examined by the Committee (four seats per delegation).
Amendments to verbatim draft minutes
Delegates may amend the verbatim of their statements prior to the adoption of the draft minutes by the Committee. Amendments should be submitted to the secretariat electronically in “track changes” via the following email address: [email protected].
Amendments will be received only if they are sent from the email address which will have been provided by the delegate when registering on the speakers' list.
