A guide to work experience

Using the ILO’s career development framework to support work experience in education and training in low- and middle-income countries

This manual provides practical orientation to education and training institutions on how to develop short work experience periods for their students and trainees, in cooperation with employers and social partner representatives. It draws on the career development framework of the Handbook for Career Development of the ILO. This an ethical and pedagogically adequate methodology that can be adapted to diverse contexts.
