Boat docked at General Santos Port showing Safety First Sign

Compendium of good practices 2021–24

Building a safe and healthy working environment in the rural sectors of the Philippines

This compendium presents four good practices from a project supporting occupational safety and health in the Philippines' banana, mining, and fishing sectors. These practices span policy and institutional reforms, capacity building and workplace-level improvements, all underpinned by a strong emphasis on social dialogue. Ultimately, the goal is to inspire replication across different contexts, settings, countries and sectors, amplifying their impact and fostering a safe and healthy working environment globally.
