WTO and ILO to issue “Investing in Skills for Inclusive Trade” report

GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) will launch their joint publication Investing in Skills for Inclusive Trade on Tuesday, 4 July.

Global trade and technological change are transforming the skills that companies require. How should we respond to this revolution in the workplace? How can we ensure that the benefits of trade reach further and wider?

Featuring results from the ILO’s Skills for Trade and Economic Diversification (STED) programme, this report shows that skills policies have a key role to play in determining the ability of firms to participate in trade and the ability of workers to find good jobs.

A launch event will be held at the WTO headquarters, Room W from 10:00 to 12:00. The programme of the event can be found here.
