ILO flagship report to focus on sustainable enterprises and job creation in SMEs

ABIDJAN (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will release its flagship report World Employment and Social Outlook 2017 (WESO) – Sustainable Enterprises and Jobs on Monday, 9 October at 20.00 GMT.
The study will provide figures and analysis on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and especially focus on job creation in SMEs over the last two decades.
The WESO 2017 also looks at how investing in workers and innovation in these enterprises while boosting trade and social dialogue can stem rising global unemployment. It will also explore the ICT infrastructure-Trade-Growth nexus in developing countries, especially in low-income countries of Africa.
The report and all associated material and information are under strict embargo until 20:00 GMT (22:00 CET time) on Monday, 9 October 2017.
