Vocational training centre launched in Tashkent in partnership with KIOCA
A vocational training centre was launched in Tashkent on July 25. It was created by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Uzbekistan in cooperation with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The centre will annually train 360 young people in electrotechnics, electronics, machine-building, car repairs and maintenance and information technologies.
The centre is equipped with modern laboratories and machine tools for practical studies that will make up approximately 65-70 percent of the curriculum. Teachers and master trainers who underwent internship in South Korea, where they borrowed that country’s vocational training experience will train students.
KOICA President Park Dae-won emphasized at the centre’s inauguration ceremony that a new centre using South Korea’s vocational training know-how will prepare highly skilled personnel who will be on demand on Uzbekistan’s labour market.
The new centre has a 100 seat comfortable apartment building to accommodate students. Moreover, all graduates will get jobs, as the centre established partnership relations with Uzbekistan’s leading enterprises.
