Uzbekistan strengthens capacities on international labour standards and social dialogue
Participants from Uzbekistan completed specialized ITCILO training programmes on international labour standards, collective bargaining and social dialogue with support from the ILO.

TASHKENT/TURIN (ILO News) – Representatives of Uzbekistan participated in specialized training programmes organized by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO) in May 2026, strengthening their knowledge and practical skills in international labour standards, collective bargaining and social dialogue.
Two representatives of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the International Labour Standards Academy: Zebiniso Khamraeva, Chief Specialist of the Department of Labour and Professional Standards, and Otabek Bobamuratov, Chief Specialist of the State Labour Inspectorate. The Academy provides an in-depth understanding of international labour standards and theirpractical application at the national level. Through the programme participants strengthened their knowledge of the ILO supervisory system, reporting obligations under ratified Conventions and the use of ILO reporting tools such as NORMLEX.
Eka Margishvili, employers’ representative, participated in the ITCILO course Negotiation Skills for Effective Collective Bargaining. Through practical exercises, case studies and interactive learning activities, participants enhanced their negotiation and communication skills, with a focus on collective bargaining, constructive social dialogue and approaches to dispute resolution.
The training programmes provided Uzbekistan participants with opportunities to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in international labour standards, collective bargaining and social dialogue to support ongoing national efforts to improve the implementation of international instruments, strengthen labour market institutions and promote effective tripartite cooperation.
The participation in the training programmes was organized within the ILO RISE for Impact project, which supports national efforts to strengthen the application of international labour standards and social dialogue in Uzbekistan.
