Uzbekistan plans to create nearly 1m jobs in 2012
Uzbekistan created over 815,000 jobs in January-September 2011 and plans to create nearly 1m more in 2012, the state-owned National News Agency website reported on 27 October.

On 27 October the Uzbek Cabinet of Ministers held a meeting to discuss key draft documents on the country's fiscal and socioeconomic policy for 2012, the report said.
"The meeting underlined that 815,500 new jobs were created in the country in January-September this year, including 512,400 jobs in rural areas," the report noted.
It went on to say that the government meeting also considered a state employment programme drawn up for the next year. "The draft programme provides for creating additional 967,500 new jobs in 2012," the report said in this regard.
Following the meeting, the Uzbek government adopted the draft documents on the country's macroeconomic forecasts, fiscal policy and state budget for 2012, the report said.
