UNTT photo competition winners announced
Winning photographs to be exhibited at the launch of the Youth Forum of the Caribbean 2015 at the UNIC (Victoria Avenue), and thereafter at UN house (Chancery Lane).

| The United Nations System in Trinidad and Tobago (UNTT) launched a photo competition in 2014 to mark the International Year of Small Island Developing States (SIDS). On 21 May 2015 the three winners were awarded prizes at the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) for the Caribbean Area in Port of Spain. 1st Place, "Happy Ever After" by Brent DeFreitas 2nd Place, "Freedom" by Nicholas Gajadhar 3rd Place, "Mangrove Cathedral" by Robert A. Yeates Richard Blewitt, UN Resident Coordinator for Trinidad and Tobago. Suriname, Aruba, Curaçao and Saint Maarten, presented the first prize to Brent DeFreitas, from St. Vincent and the Grenadines; while Juan Miguel Diez, Director of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) for the Caribbean Area, presented the second prize to Nicholas Gajadhar from Trinidad; and Jewel Ali, the Head of Office, International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Trinidad and Tobago, presented the third prize to Robert A. Yeates, from Tobago. | |
