The third edition of the diploma course on the Design and Management of Social Protection Programmes with a Results-Based Budgeting has started
The Catholic University “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” diploma stems as an initiative by the SP&PFM country project, implemented by ILO and UNICEF with the support of the European Union in Paraguay and in partnership with the University of Chile.

Asunción, Paraguay - The Public Policy Center of the Catholic University “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” in Paraguay launched, with the support of the SP&PFM country project, the third edition of the diploma course on the Design and Management of Social Protection Programmes with a Results-Based Budgeting Approach Within the Framework of ¡Vamos! Social Protection System. The initiative is the result of a joint effort by ILO, the Ministry of Finance, the Technical Unit of the Social Cabinet the University of Chile. In its previous edition, the course has trained more than 100 participants from the public sector, civil society and international cooperation.
In its third edition, the course will train 40 professionals from the public sector. After the 100 chronological hours, distributed in four months, the participants will have the tools to design and manage social protection programs framed in the ¡Vamos! Social Protection System and Results-Based Budgeting, advancing the modernization of public management and the capacity of social actors and civil society to monitor and propose public policies.
The diploma course is an activity of the SP-PFM project, which, among other actions, provides technical assistance for the development of the capacities of the institutions involved in the implementation of the Social Protection System. In order to provide continuity and sustainability to the academic training, The Catholic Universy “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” leads the third edition of the course, after it was transferred to them by the project in December 2022.
