Technical meeting to review and validate the final draft of the Rwanda decent work country programme

The workshop will in effect bring Rwanda, as a member state of the ILO, one major step closer towards having the first ever DWCP. In 2016, a series of review meetings commenced to update the earlier drafted document in line with priorities of the national development framework, the EDRS2 as well as aligning planned endeavours with Rwanda's pursuit of the SDGs.

During the two day workshop participants will discuss and agree on the Country context, DWCP Priorities, the monitoring and framework information and the analytical contents. It is envisaged that at the end of the two days participants will have a DWCP document ready for submission to the steering committee for final steps of signed, sealed and delivered. The ILO Country office for East Africa is supporting the workshop by providing technical guidance in fine-tuning the document to meet the standards ascribed to DWCPs in the ILO.

Participants represent government, employers’ and workers’ organizations and their affiliates, PWDs, and other selected stakeholders from the world of work.
