Tajikistan, Russia ink new migration pact
Today a ceremony to sign an agreement between Tajikistan and Russia on the conditions of the presence of Tajik citizens in Russia was held in Moscow.

The spokesman for the representative office of the Tajik Migration Service in Russia, Ibrohim Ahmadov, told the privately-owned Tajik news agency Asia-Plus on the phone that the heads of the Tajik and Russian migration services, Safiallo Devonayev and Konstantin Romodanovskiy respectively, signed the document.
"In line with the document, Tajik citizens who arrive in Russia on a temporary visit will be exempt for 15 days from registration at a place of stay with relevant agencies in Russia. Now the term of the registration is within 7 days," Ibrohim Ahmadov said.
He noted that the agreement would come into effect after carrying out some domestic procedures.
It should be recalled that the agreement to sign the document was reached during Russian President Vladimir Putin's official visit to Tajikistan in October 2012.
