Tajikistan to launch website on child labour issues
A website devoted to child labour issues will appear in Tajikistan in April.

ILO-IPEC Project Coordinator Muhayo Khosabekova noted that the International Labour Organization provided financial, technical and consultative assistance to the Tajik Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population in creating the web resource.
Moreover, a centre for training adults, which is among other things targeted at monitoring child labour was created under the Ministry.
The website will provide the information about child labour monitoring in Tajikistan, results of different surveys and activities of organizations engaged in the elimination of child labour.
According to the ILO, 85 percent of child labourers in Tajikistan are engaged in agriculture, 3.4 percent – in construction, 3.7 percent – in commerce and 7.4 percent – in industry.
