Tajikistan creates website on problems of child labour
In April a website spotlighting the problems of child labour no-childlabour.tj was opened in Tajikistan.

The website was developed by specialists of Tajikistan’s National Adult Education Centre with the technical support of the ILO International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (ILO IPEC).
The website contains the information about child labour monitoring in Tajikistan, results of different surveys and activities of institutions engaged in resolving the problem.
“The Tajik government, international and non-governmental organizations have done a good job and take further efforts to eliminate child labour, but the information about this is scattered and the creation of this web resource is a certain platform for spotlighting this problem in the country,” said ILO IPEC project coordinator Muhayo Khosabekova.
According to the ILO, around 200,000 underage children in Tajikistan have to work on local markets as cart drivers, plastic bag sellers, car washers and loaders.
