Tajik GDP grows 6.5 per cent in 2010

Tajik GDP exceeded 24.7bn somoni (over 5.6bn dollars) last year, which is higher by 6.5 per cent than the figure for 2009, the Statistics Agency under the Tajik president has reported.
According to the agency, services made up 47.9 per cent of last year's GDP, manufacturing 41.6 per cent and taxes 10.5 per cent.
It should be recalled that in 2009, the country's GDP was 20.622bn somoni (over 4.7bn dollars at the exchange rate of early January 2010).
