Strong EU and Benelux participation in European regional meeting (ERM)
The EU actively participated in the ERM through EU positions presented by the Irish Council Presidency and through the negotiation of the Oslo Declaration.

The representatives of the EU institutions and EU social partners participated in the different panel discussions and in other events.
European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion László Andor, the Chair of the European Parliament Employment and Social Affairs Committee Pervenche Berès and the Irish Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton participated in different panel discussions.
The Vice President of the European Commission Olli Rehn intervened, through a direct video, in the high level tripartite discussion involving the IMF, the EC and the ILO on “Recovery from the crisis - coherent policies for growth and jobs”.
The Belgian Labour Minister, Monica De Coninck, and the Luxembourgish Labour and Immigration Minister, Nicolas Schmit, participated with European Commissioner Andor in the informal ministerial meeting on youth employment.
