VIENTIANE, Lao PDR (ILO News) –ILO-China Partnership Programme, in close collaboration with Skills Development Institute, the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare jointly organized the workshop to strengthen the capacity of skills providers to develop skills training curriculum on ICT from 28-29 November 2023.
A total of 24 participants (8 females) attended this programme. Representatives came from the Skills Development Institute, Information and Cultural Institute, Vientiane Skills Development Center, Lao Trade Development Institute, Vetsaphong Skills Development Center, BIS Institute, Vientiane-Hanoi Technical college, Vientiane Capital Skills Development Institute, Lao Telecom Company, and the ILO-China Partnership Programme.
Participates were divided into five groups to discuss and exchange knowledge about developing of software development, computer network maintenance, website development, database development and computer maintenance.
This workshop helps build the capacity of 22 skills providers, private sector, and institutions to develop skills training curricula for ICT sectors. The advanced knowledge that trainees learn from this workshop will help them identify the topic, objectives, tasks, learning hours, etc. Teachers will better design models and training manuals with quality for skill centers.
