Strategic planning for labour inspection in Algeria

A workshop in Algiers brought together labour inspectors from central and regional levels to discuss strategic planning for improved regulatory compliance.

ALGIERS (ILO News) - Labour inspectors from central and regional levels participated in a workshop on “Strategic planning of labour inspection for improved regulatory compliance”, held in Algiers from 18 to 20 May 2025.

Organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office in Algiers, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the workshop focused on the strategic planning tool for regulatory compliance.

Over three days, participants explored new avenues for action and shared experiences around an approach to labour inspection based on strategy, prevention and impact.

The discussions identified concrete areas for improvement towards a more strategic and structured approach to labour inspection.
