Strategic compliance planning for labour inspectorates in Djerba
A workshop in Djerba brought together labour inspectors from southern Tunisia to discuss strategic planning of labour inspection for improved regulatory compliance.

DJERBA (ILO News) - Labour inspectors from southern Tunisia participated in a workshop on strategic planning of labour inspection for improved regulatory compliance, held in Djerba on 9 and 10 February 2026.
Organized as part of the project “Promoting Occupational Safety and Health in Southern Neighbourhood Countries – Phase 2”, the workshop focused on an approach combining prevention, advice, support and inspection action.
Discussions addressed advisory and support activities aimed at encouraging voluntary compliance with national regulations, as well as the use of labour inspectors’ legal powers when necessary.
