South Sudan becomes 184th ILO member State

GENEVA (ILO News) – The Republic of South Sudan became the 184th member of the International Labour Organization (ILO) following receipt in Geneva of a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan, Nhial Deng Nhial, stating, on behalf of the Government, that South Sudan formally accepts the obligations of the Constitution of the ILO. South Sudan's membership became effective on 29 April 2012.
