Seminars on state aids and incentives for employment held in cooperation with the ILO, İHKİB and UİB

ISTANBUL - Seminars themed “State Aids and Incentives for Employment” were delivered in Istanbul and Bursa to member enterprises in cooperation of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (IHKIB) and Uludağ Apparel Exporters’ Association (UIB).

The first of the seminars under ILO-IHKIB cooperation was delivered at Istanbul Foreign Trade building on 8 May 2018. The representatives from SGK Istanbul and ISKUR delivered presentations to member enterprises on the 2018 employment incentives followed by a question and answer period where member’s problems were discussed. The second part of the seminar included the provision of information on investment incentives by experts from Istanbul Development Agency and design and fair/expo incentives by IHKIB.

The second of the seminars was delivered on 9 May 2018 in Bursa, hosted by Bursa Uludağ Apparel Exporters’ Association (UIB). Mr. Mustafa Yılmaz, Bursa Provincial Director of SGK, and representatives from ISKUR presented information on employment incentives to member enterprises. The seminar at Bursa was completed with the presentation by experts from Bursa-Bilecik-Eskisehir Development Agency particularly on investment incentives of the Ministry of Economy, and UIB’s presentation on support to members.

The seminars were held as part of the protocol signed between the ILO Office for Turkey and IHKIB under the project “Improving Labour Market Integration of Syrian Refugees and Host Communities” implemented by the ILO Office for Turkey.
