In March 2013 Evgueni Khizhnyak, Chief techincal labour inspector, Seafarers' Union of Russia conducted safety briefing for the cadets of the navigational and marine engineer department of the Saint-Petersburg Marine Technical College prior to their first internship on tanker of the "Sovkomflot-Varandei" Company.
HIV prevention issues were a part of the safety briefing for the young seamen on safe working conditions at the Arctic tankers of "Vasily Dinkov" type.
