They are conducting trials of creating special products of various fabrics combining motifs specific to Turkey and Syria that filter down through the real-life stories of women in the design work at the textiles workshop with the trainers from the girls vocational high school.
As the shoe-upping workshop mainly engages in leather cutting and shoe-up manufacturing, the partners of the Cooperative work to increase the manufacture quality and daily production volume. Scheduled to hold a 5-day design workshop in June in collaboration with Gaziantep University, Shoe-making Department of Vocational College, the shoe-upping workshop intends to design a special leather bag for the Cooperative jointly with Gaziantep University.

Three women from each workshop were elected to the promotion and marketing commission established in that context. The commission will plan institutional visits, promotion and marketing efforts, and participate in visits to relevant places. Continuing also to be a part of the production process, the commission members will receive training on effective communications, presentation and public communications in June.
The meeting also selected members to the business organisation committee who would be tasked with regularly organising the production planning involving organising the orders, pricing and division of work. The business organisation committee will consist of two cooperative partners elected from each workshop and the members of the Management Board in charge of workshops. It was decided that members of the business organisation committee be rotated by vote every quarter so that every partner might have increased competence in production planning and organisation.
The meeting also discussed the invitation of Antalya Muratpaşa Municipality to the 2nd Festival of Women’s Cooperatives . An affirmative decision was made to participate in the festival scheduled for 26-30 June 2019, and products for display in the festival were assessed and decided.
