Protocol to pact to protect Tajik labour migrants in Russia signed in Moscow
A protocol to introduce changes to the agreement between the Tajik and Russian governments on Tajik citizens' employment and protection of their rights in Russia, dated 16 October 2004, was signed in Moscow today.

The press service of the Tajik Migration Service's representative office in Russia said that the heads of the Tajik and Russian migration services, Safialloh Devonayev and Konstantin Romodanovskiy respectively, had signed the document.
The document envisages giving Tajik citizens permission to work in Russia for up to three years. It will serve as a foundation for extending the term of workers' temporary stay in the host country during the validity of their work permit without leaving its territory.
The protocol will apply to all Tajik citizens who are carrying out certain labour activities in Russia.The document was signed in line with the memorandum on the development of cooperation in migration signed on 5 October 2012
