During the dialogue, prospects for cooperation on the implementation of new joint projects to improve the system of labour relations and improve working conditions in various sectors of the economy were discussed.

It was especially noted that Uzbekistan, with the assistance of the ILO, is included as a pioneer country in the initiative of the UN Secretary-General “Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions.” At the moment, all elements of this mechanism are being implemented in Uzbekistan.

An important place is occupied by the Decent Work Country Programme in Uzbekistan for 2021-2025, adopted jointly with the International Labour Organization, and measures taken to widely apply international labour norms and standards to the country’s economy.

Also during the conversation, an exchange of views took place on issues such as the creation of decent working conditions and the introduction of international labour standards.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen the consistently developing relations between Uzbekistan and the ILO, and intensify consultations on jointly implemented projects.
