Photo story: Courage

Going abroad for work is the dream towards a better life for many workers, including women, from the poor rural areas of central Viet Nam. But to do that, they and their families need a great deal of courage and sacrifice, as the voids they leave behind are significant. On the occasion of International Migrants’ Day (18 December), the International Labour Organization (ILO) would like to present some photo stories of those migrant workers through the lens of photographer Nguyen Viet Thanh.
