Peruvian Public Ministry Specializes in Cyber Investigation of Trafficking

Lima – Prosecutors and officials of the Public Ministry participated in a specialized workshop on the cyber investigation of trafficking and related crimes. The workshop focused on new forms of criminal investigation, the use of online games and social networks as means of recruitment, and the understanding of the Deep Web, Darknet, and Surface Web.

"We have delved into the handling of digital evidence, the preservation of accounts, and the application of the Hash code, essential tools to address these complex crimes in digital environments," explained expert speaker Rafael García Borja, who delivered the training.

García Borja is a lawyer with a master's degree in cybercrime and cybersecurity and the Coordinator of the Specialized Team in the Investigation of Crypto Assets at the Cyber Crimes Department of the Attorney General's Office of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Province of Buenos Aires

This specialized workshop marked a significant milestone in the enhancement of the capacities of the Public Ministry in the cyber investigation of trafficking. Participants not only acquired advanced knowledge of essential technological tools but also learned to effectively address the challenges posed by new forms of digital criminality.
