Next steps to counteract HIV/AIDS in the world of work: Round table in Dushanbe

Dushanbe hosted a Round Table discussion between the ILO tripartite constituents and with the participation of UNAIDS, international organizations, National AIDS Center in order to identify next steps in counteracting HIV/AIDS in the world of work in Tajikistan.

Two studies, held in Tajikistan with the support of ILO - ”Research on HIV/AIDS related sickness rate with temporary disability among medical workers of the Republic of Tajikistan” and review of legislation in regard to HIV/AIDS, were presented and discussed by the participants.

The meeting formulated measures required by the constituents to implement the National Strategic Programme to counteract HIV/AIDS in the Republic of Tajikistan in 2007-2011.
