New website of the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan (CEU) is now operational
Five years after its establishment, the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan (CEU) finally got a website of its own. This achievement was made possible thanks to the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and its Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ILO/ACTEMP).

The employers’ organization will now be able to improve their communication with acting and potential members. The website is planned to become their information hub through which they will promote their services and activities.
According to Vlado Curovic, Senior Specialist in Employers’ Activities, ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the new website marks an important milestone in the development of the employers’ organization in Uzbekistan. ”Today the country is a hotspot for international investors (and potential investors) and their ability to find the national employers’ organization and retrieve the important information in the Internet would be crucial for CEU’s future membership,” he said.
In addition to the website itself, the ILO provided training and six months of technical support in the use of the website.
The ILO also assisted CEU in the development of their new strategic plan and the action plan on engagement with the most relevant potential members – big companies. The staff of the CEU secretariat have benefited from several trainings (both offline and online) organized by the ILO.
