Making Training Services Inclusive of Persons with Disabilities: Training of trainers
ILO organized a three days training of trainers on making training services inclusive of persons with disabilities.

Cairo/ (ILO News): The ILO Cairo Office organized a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on making training services inclusive of persons with disabilities from 9 to 11 February 2015. This was an activity implemented by the project "Jobs and Skills for Persons with Disabilities", which is a partnership between ILO, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Trust Fund.
The ultimate aim of the training is for mainstream training services to be more inclusive and accessible for persons with disabilities, helping them eventually to find decent work opportunities. For this purpose, the workshop provided tools and methods that help training providers become more inclusive.
At the end of the ToT, the participants designed plans to make their training services more inclusive of persons with disabilities. A follow-up workshop will be organized to assess the progress of these plans.
The ToT had more than thirty participants from eight governorates representing training providers from the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, NGOs, Disabled People's Organizations (DPOs), trainers who work in entrepreneurship and innovation centers, and a number of experts who have disabilities.
In the same context, the second Steering Committee meeting for the project "Jobs and Skills for Persons with Disabilities" was held last Thursday, 12 February 2015 in UNDP premises to discuss the project progress. During the meeting, the Committee approved the project work plan and upcoming activities.
