Kicking the ball against HIV/AIDS
As a build up to the World AIDS Day on 1 December, on Saturday 29 November 2014, the ILO partnered with the Swedish Workplace HIV/AIDS Programme (SWHAP) and one of its member companies Ericom in a soccer tournament to promote physical health, awareness of HIV/AIDS and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs), as well as promote the uptake of HIV testing and counselling services by workers.

The event was attended by workers from various companies including Tusilago, Scania, Ericom, and Sandvik. Family members as well people from the community also took part in the Wellness Day activities. Children were not left out as special fun activities provided for them.
Participating teams represented the above companies and an additional four teams were formed from various communities in and around Harare, including one church team. Ericom Communications emerged the winners beating Tusilago in a penalty shoot-out.
The final match was witnessed by the, ILO Country Director a.i., Hopolang Phororo and the Ambassador of Sweden to Zimbabwe, Lars Ronnås.
