International Occupational Safety and Health Forum – a global discussion platform involving the ILO and Russian Government officials
International Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Forum took place in Moscow on December 12-15 as part of the XXI International Specialized Exhibition “Occupational Safety and Health 2017”.

The forum was hosted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Russia, All-Russia Union of OSH professionals (VOSOT), and International Safety Equipment Association which brings together members who design, manufacture and market personal protective equipment (ISEA).
More than 50 events were held as part of the forum. Valentin Mocanu, Senior Labour Administration, Labour Inspection and OSH Specialist of the ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, made a presentation at the International Congress of OSH organizations and professionals. The congress participants proposed to Mr. Mocanu to include the International OSH Exhibition in the ILO’s annual plan of events for promotion of values and principles enshrined in the ILO Constitution.
As part of the forum, Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Russian Government, held a meeting of his government to discuss efforts to reduce the incidence of work-related injuries.
As a follow-up to the forum, proposals to the authorities on legal and regulatory control of socially important OSH issues were formulated as part of the civic initiative.
