International Labour Standards: 8 countries ratify ILO Conventions

Geneva, 1st July 2012 (ACTRAV INFO)- Grenada, Honduras, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Uruguay and Viet Nam have ratified a series of ILO Conventions in June 2012 as follow:
Grenada, C155 - Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No. 155)
Honduras, C144 - Tripartite Consultation (International Labour Standards) Convention, 1976 (No. 144)
Kazakhstan, C183 - Maternity Protection Convention, 2000 (No. 183)
Malaysia, C187 - Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187)
Singapore, C187 - Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187)
Sweden, MLC - Maritime Labour Convention, 2006
Uruguay, C189 - Domestic Workers Convention, 2011 (No. 189)
Viet Nam, C122 - Employment Policy Convention, 1964 (No. 122)
The ILO has 185 member states. As of today, 396 ILO instruments (Conventions and Recommendations) were adopted by member States since its creation in 1919.
