International Conference on Artificial Intelligence
The third international conference “Breakthrough Technologies: Challenges for the Development of Society and Global Governance (EMERTECH 2019)” was held in Moscow on 5 December 2019 by the Primakov National Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Science (IMEMO RAS) in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Russia and the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.

The key topic for this year was “artificial intelligence (AI): issues of regulation, science policy, international cooperation and global governance”.
Kanae Tada, Technical Officer of the ILO Moscow office, participated in this event and delivered a presentation on AI’s impact on the global market and necessary policies and measures in the session “AI: Issues for global governance”. In her presentation, Kanae Tada emphasized the importance of international cooperation and social dialogue to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks brought about by a wide application of AI.
