ILO's Head for Africa on official visit in Senegal

ADDIS ABABA/DAKAR (ILO News) - During his first official mission to Dakar, Mr. Aeneas Chapinga Chuma, held tripartite consultations with Senior representatives of national authorities and social partners.

The visit included bilateral discussions with Hon. Mansour Sy, Minister of Labour, Social Dialogue, Professional Organizations and Relations with Institutions as well as dialogue with the social partners.

The visit will end with a press conference scheduled for 21 January 2015 in Dakar.

Aeneas Chuma Chapinga was appointed Director of the ILO Regional Office for Africa, to the rank of Assistant Director-General , as of March 2014. The Regional Office for Africa is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which also serve the African Union Commission and the UN Economic Commission for Africa.
