The Union Government of Myanmar and the International Labour Organization (ILO) signed agreements to extend their cooperation for the elimination of forced labour in Nay Pyi Taw on 22 January 2018.
The Supplementary Understanding which provides a complaints mechanism for alleged victims of forced labour was extended until 31 December 2018.
A separate Action Plan was agreed to operate the complaints mechanism and undertake training and other awareness raising activities on forced labour.
