ILO steps up cooperation in youth employment with Azerbaijan
On May 30 Azerbaijan’s Labour and Social Protection Minister Fizuli Alekperov met with ILO Moscow Senior Employment Specialist Olga Koulaeva to discuss the implementation of ILO’s new project Partnerships for Youth Employment in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The project will take place in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia and will last four years. Its goal is to develop youth employment programmes, expand countries’ opportunities for programmes’ implementation, bring up competitive workforce and contribute to economic growth in the region.
During the meeting Fizuli Alekberov briefed on Azerbaijan’s youth employment policy and social projects.
He noted that the problem of youth employment is in the focus of the Azerbaijani authorities and in this respect cooperation with the ILO develops on a regular basis.
Olga Koulaeva, in turn, expressed satisfaction with ILO-Azerbaijan cooperation in employment and highlighted that the International Labour Organization will do its utmost to further develop it.
