ILO to release new figures on youth unemployment

GENEVA – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will launch a paper titled “Global Employment Outlook: Bleak Labour Market Prospects for Youth” on Tuesday, 4 September, 2012.

The publication by the ILO’s Employment Trends Unit provides the latest data on youth unemployment at the global and regional levels.

It especially looks at how the euro crisis has impacted on jobs for young people, not only in Europe but also in other parts of the world.

The paper and all associated material and information are embargoed until Tuesday, 4 September at 14:00 GMT (16:00 Geneva time).
