ILO to publish 2012 Global Employment Trends for Youth

A new report on the state of labour markets for young people worldwide will be launched by the ILO. The report, “Global Employment Trends for Youth 2012”, will be released on Tuesday 22 May 2012.

BANGKOK (ILO News) – a new report on the state of labour markets for young people worldwide will be launched by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The report, “Global Employment Trends for Youth 2012”, will be released on Tuesday 22 May 2012.

The new study examines the continuing job crisis affecting young people in many parts of the world. It provides updated statistics on global and regional youth unemployment rates and presents ILO policy recommendations to curb the current trends.

The report and all associated material and information are embargoed until 23:01 GMT on Monday 21 May (6:05am Tuesday, 22 May 2012, Bangkok, Thailand)
