ILO provides technical assistance to the Kyrgyz Government on maternity benefits
Upon request of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, the ILO has launched tripartite consultation process to examine the maternity benefit formula.

The consultations were undertaken on August 26-30, 2019 by Ms. Tatiana Chubarova, ILO International consultant, Head of Centre for Economic and Social Policy Research, Russian Academy of Science with the representatives of the Ministry of Labour and social partners.
The findings of the assessment will be used by the Government to explore the ratification of the ILO Convention 183 “On Maternity protection.”
