ILO participates in 21st Triennial Congress of the Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL)
Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL) held its 21st Triennial Congress from 24 to 26 November 2022 in a hybrid format - both web-based and face-to-face - where the face-to-face component was hosted by the Grenada Trades Union Council in St. George’s, Grenada.

Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL) held its 21st Triennial Congress from 24 to 26 November 2022 in a hybrid format - both web-based and face-to-face - where the face-to-face component was hosted by the Grenada Trades Union Council in St. George’s, Grenada.
Over the first 1.5 days the workshop delegates listened to presentations from the ILO, the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies and other experts on three topics of major importance for the labour movement: Just transition toward greener economies and a sustainable future; violence and harassment in the world of work with a focus on gender-based violence; and mental health at the workplace.
The Congress then proceeded to the working sessions of the Triennial Congress of Delegates that included reporting on the last period, planning for the future as well as elections of the CCL officers.
ILO congratulates Mr Andre Lewis of Grenada who was elected President and Mr Michael Annisette of Trinidad and Tobago who was elected General Secretary of the CCL, as well other elected officials and wishes them a productive three-year term of office.
