ILO to issue a progress report on gender equality
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the ILO will publish a briefing note providing an assessment of progress made on achieving gender equality in the world of work since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action in 1995.
ADDIS ABABA (ILO News) – On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March), the International Labour Organization (ILO) will publish a briefing note providing an assessment of progress made on achieving gender equality in the world of work since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action in 1995.
In addition, the ILO will release a working paper on the “Motherhood Pay Gap" between mothers and women without children.
Both documents will be under embargo until Thursday, 5 March at 23:01 GMT (Friday, 6 March at 00:01 Geneva time).
Electronic copies of the embargoed briefing note and working paper will be made available to journalists (only) upon request starting on Thursday, 5 March in the morning (Geneva time).
